Ganderbal, 25th March 2025:Ganderbal Police today conducted extensive searches at multiple locations across the district as part of an ongoing investigation into activities linked to the proscribed organization Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH).
The Government of India had declared TeH an unlawful organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in December 2023.
The searches were carried out in connection with Case FIR No. 02/2024 registered at Police Station Ganderbal under Sections 10 and 13 of the UAPA Act.
Police teams raided the premises of several suspects associated with the banned outfit in various areas including Shuhama, Duderhama, Saloora, Tulmulla, and Lar in Ganderbal. During the operation, incriminating materials were recovered and seized.
According to officials, the ongoing investigation is aimed at dismantling the anti-national and separatist ecosystem by identifying individuals involved in such activities and initiating strict legal action.
Ganderbal Police has reiterated its commitment to continue legal proceedings against anyone found supporting or indulging in unlawful activities, assuring strict action as per law.
