Ganderbal : Ganderbal Police today observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas across the District. The main function was held at DPL Ganderbal in which SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS took the salute of the parade and administered oath to the police officers and Jawans. Different contingents of Executive/Armed Police and CAPF took part in a colourful March Past.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal said that this function across the country is being held to pay tributes to the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the first Home Minister of the country who played a pivotal role in our freedom struggle and the integration of India. He further stated that to commemorate the huge contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, we took the pledge to dedicate ourselves for internal security, integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Moreover, SSP Ganderbal alongwith other officers and jawans took the integrity pledge to work for the eradication of corruption and working in transparent manner and in public interest.
On this occasion, Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yeyha-JKPS, DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, DySP PC Ganderbal Shri Manoj Kumar-JKPS, SHOs of PSs/PPs and other officers were also present.
