Ganderbal:Under Civic Action Program; on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Ganderbal Police today organised Seminar/Drug Awareness Programme at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Safapora under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS in which Teachers, PRIs, respectable Citizens, Community Members, Social Activists & Students participated with huge enthusiasm.
While speaking on the onset of the Seminar, Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal talked about the burning issue of Drug Addiction. He encouraged the participants to refrain from this severe menace & stated that Ganderbal Police is always on toes to eradicate Drug menace & ready to help the youth in promoting sports & games.
Further, Sabik Ali Sabik started the proceedings of the program & Students of various Schools delivered lectures about the catastrophic causes & consequences of Drug Menace.
The Guest speakers present in the Seminar also appraised the audience with psychological & social aspects of Drug Addiction. They talked about Socio-economic, Physiological and Psychological causes & its preventive measures.
The PRIs, teachers, Social Activists & religious Scholars also thrown light on this sensitive issue & audience present in the seminar were encouraged to adopt positive approaches in eliminating Drug Abuse from the society.
At the conclusion of the Seminar, Principal Hr. Sec. School Safapora presented vote of thanks & Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS along with SHO PS Safapora distributed momentos among the Speakers.
