Ganderbal :Ganderbal Police, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of JK Police is conducting the “Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament” at Government Higher Secondary School Khurhama.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal Ragav S, IPS.
Eight (08) Teams from across the district are participating in the event which focusses on providing an opportunity for the youths of Ganderbal to showcase their talent.
The tournament also aims at instilling in them the traits of team work, discipline and sportsmanship.
During the inaugural address, SSP Ganderbal appreciated all the teams for taking part in the event.
He also stressed upon the need for youth to take up sports which would give enhance their physical as well as mental health and channel their focus away from the menace of drugs and other vices.
On the said occasion, Dy.SP DAR Ganderbal Shri Nazir Ahmad & other senior Police Officers were also present.
The local people lauded the efforts of Ganderbal police and their focus on empowering the youths of the area.
