Ganderbal 05 Dec (KNZ):Ganderbal Police saved two youths (Names with held) belonging to Wussan area of Ganderbal from joining militancy after they had left their homes to join militancy. With the help of technical inputs,Ganderbal Police acted swiftly and both the youths were traced to a location in Downtown area of Srinagar.
Accordingly, they were brought back and the facts about their joining militancy were examined in presence of their family members and it turned up that both the said youth were proceeding to join militant rank and file.
The youth were given proper counseling with the help of a Psychiatrist and other experts before being handed over to parents with the advice that their day today activities should be monitored.
While deliberating on the issue, SSP Ganderbal said that ANE operatives from across the border are preying gullible Kashmiri youth on various social media platforms and enticing them to joining militancy which needs to be curbed. He further said that parents should come forward and report any such activity of their wards so that they are mainstreamed through concerted couninitiative experts.
Families of above said youth and general public also hailed the swift action of Ganderbal Police and appreciated this initiative.KNZ
