GANDERBAL : On 16-11-2022, Police Station Ganderbal recieved a written complaint from one Nasreen Ul Nissa W/O Khaleel Beigh R/O Banglore India (Tourist) alleging that she lost her ATM Card at an unknown place and as a result Rs/- 70,000 (Seventy Thousand Rupees only) have been illegally withdrawn from her account. The accused fraudently procured her ATM Card and withdraw cash using it illegally at some ATM outlets.
On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, a special team was constituted under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS led by SHO PS Ganderbal Insp Tariq Ahmad. During the course of investigation, after hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV footage it came to the surface that the accused procured the ATM card at Petrol Pump Ganderbal and used it illegally to withdraw cash from various ATM units.
Pertinently, the accused has been arrested and disclosed his identity as Danish Rashid Bhat S/O Abdul Rashid Bhat R/O Darhuma Tangmarg. The said accused confessed to have committed the crime and on his disclosure an amount of Rs/-70,000 (Seventy Thousand Rupees only) have been recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No.318/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.
General Public has applauded the swift action of Ganderbal Police for nabbing the culprit and solving the fraud and cheating case in the matter of hours. Any such illegal action by any person shall be taken seriously and legal action will be initiated against the culprits in future also.
