Ganderbal:On 28-05-2024, a written compliant was received by PS Kangan regarding Theft of Cattles at Kachnambal Wudar Kangan.
Furtherance, a Case FIR No. 41/2024,under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Kangan & investigation was set into motion.
Further, on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Wasim Qadri-JKPS, a Special Police team was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Kangan, SP Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS headed by SHO PS Kangan Shri Mehboob Hussain. After strenuous efforts and with the help of technical inputs, the Police Party apprehended 04 Persons namely; Imran Ahmad Shah S/O Ajaz Ah Shah R/O UP A/P Panzinara, Altaf Ahmad Sheikh S/O Ab Wahab Sheikh R/O Gantmula Baramulla, Mohd Lateef Pathan S/O Ali Mohd Pathan R/O Mujpathri Budgam & One Juvenile (Name withheld) R/O Qamarwari Srinagar.
Meanwhile, during the investigation the aforementioned accused persons confessed that they had committed the crime & further disclosed that they have sold the Cattles to one Butcher namely; Yaqoob Ahmad Wani S/O Mohd Maqbool Wani R/O Hajin Sonawari.
The Butcher alongwith the aforementioned accused persons were taken into the Police Custody.
Moreover, 02 vehicles bearing Regd. No.s JK06B0172 & JK05L5975* used in the commission of the crime were also seized.
The locals have hailed and appreciated the efforts of J&K Police Ganderbal for Swift action in solving the theft case. The General Public is requested to co-operate with J&K Police & share inputs of Burglars/Thieves present in the society, so that they can be nabbed effectively & crime-free Ganderbal shall be formed.
