Ganderbal:A theft took place at the house of Showkat Ahmad Khan S/O Mohd Subhan Khan R/O Rajbagh Colony in the Jurisdiction of PP Nagbal.To investigate the matter, a Case FIR No. 240/2024, under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Ganderbal & investigation was set into motion.
Acting Swiftly, a Special Police team was constituted under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal, headed by I/C PP Nagbal. After strenuous efforts and with the help of technical inputs, the Police Party apprehended 02 Persons namely; Majid Parveez Mir
S/O Parveez Ahmad Mir R/O Gasoo Hazratbal & Imran Ismail Bhat S/O Mohd Ismail Bhat R/O Shalimar Hazratbal.
Meanwhile, during the course of investigation the accused confessed to the commission of the crime. On their disclosure, Cash Rs.15645, Dollar 02 No.s, Broach 01 No., Heart shaped Pandellum 01 No., Finger Rings 04 No.s, Ear rings and Bali 10 Pairs and one isolated, Pounds 02 No.s, Chain and Pendellum with Allah written on it, 10 Pashmina Shawls in a separate bag, Camera 01 No. & 500 rupees Old Currency note was recovered, seized and the accused were put behind the bars. Moreover, one Vehicle used in the commission of the crime was also seized.
Further Investigation into the case is in progress.
The locals have hailed and appreciated the efforts of J&K Police Ganderbal for Swift action in solving the theft case in a few hours only. The General Public is requested to co-operate with J&K Police & share inputs of Burglars/Thieves present in the society, so that they can be nabbed effectively & crime-free Ganderbal shall be formed.KNZ
