GANDERBAL : A Stringent action has been taken by Ganderbal Police against 08 Drivers who used Tippers and Tractors in illegal extraction of Minor minerals i.e Sand, Bajri, Boulders and further unauthorised transportation within the District.
A Special Police team was headed by SHO Police Station Ganderbal Insp Tariq Ahmad and SHO Kheerbawani Insp Mudasir Zaroo under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS. During the course of action 08 Drivers were arrested and 06 Tippers, 02 Tractors were also seized.The Regd.No.s of Vehicles and Names of the Drivers are mentioned below:

The Trippers and Tractors were loaded with illegally extracted Bajri/Sand & Boulders from Nallah Sindh, Ganderbal.
In this regard Case FIR No.s 293/22, 297/22 and 64/22 U/S 379 IPC, 21MMRD Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal & PS Kheerbawani respectively and investigation taken up.
Ganderbal Police issues strict warning to those who are involved in illegal extraction of Minor Minerals and action under law will be taken in future also.
