Ganderbal 16 July (KNZ) : Ganderbal Police with the help of Geology and mining deparment on Sunday seized nine tippers for extracting soil illegally from the hillocks in Saderkoot bala area of Bandipora District.
Police sources said that a Police naka party of Police post Nagbal headed by DO Nagbal under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr Mr Fahad Tak,on the direction of SSP Ganderbal Mr Khalil Poswal, during surprise Naka wee hours on Sunday seized nine tippers that were extracting soil illegally in violation of the court orders.
DO Police post Nagbal said that Geology mining and police have seized 9 Tippers during the wee hours of Sunday for illegally extracting Soil at SK Bala.
We have been continuously receiving complaints that a mafia is using tippers to mine material from the SK Bala and travel via Ganderbal route. We have decided to go tough against these violators,” he added.
Illegal sand extracting from bandipora district but tippers were travelling via Ganderbal route.
In another a police team headed by SHO Mohd Rafiq Police Station Ganderbal under the supervision of SSP Ganderbal,Mr Khalil Poswal, one JCB and Four tippers were seized they found indulging in illegal mining to excavate soil illegally in Ganderbal.
In this regard, Ganderbal police has registered cases under FIR no. 149/2019 and investigation has been taken up.
When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Contacted SSP Ganderbal Mr Khalil Poswal said They have ceased tippers carrying Illegal extracted soil and strict action will be taken against any Such offender.
It was a joint operation supervised by Geology and mining department and police respectively.KNZ
