Ganderbal 15 Jan (KNZ):The 26-year-old Mohammed Rafiq Parray S/O Gh Mohd Parray from Chanpora area of Rangil Nagbal in Ganderbal District was injured Sunday in Sugan area in Shopain where he had reportedly gone to participate in the funeral of slain commander Zeenat-ul-Islam.
Rafiq was hit with a bullet when government forces allegedly opened fire on mourners near the funeral ground at Sugan Shopain.
Rafiq’s friend said that Rafiq is works in an automobile repair shop at Beehama Ganderbal.
He also said that his mother is a heart patient. He has two brothers and two sisters one of the brother is specially abled .
Locals said that they were shocked to hear that Rafiq has been injured in Shopian and is critical.
A spontaneous shutdown was observed yesterday in Soura and Nagbal areas of Srinagar and Ganderbal after news about a Ganderbal youth injured in Shopain being critical spread in the areas.
Medical Superintendent, SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that Rafiq has been taken off the ventilator and shifted to ward 2A
“He is under observation let’s see what happens . we are hopeful, that he will recover ” he said.KNZ
