Srinagar, November 18: APHC chairman, Syed Ali Geelani paid glorious tributes to slain youth Mugais Mir, saying that more than six lakh people were slain during forced occupation and Mugais too was bestowed with an eternal life by Almighty Allah.

Syed Ali Geelani said that as a true Muslim  ,we believe that martyrs never die instead are alive and while quoting Holy Quran. said that Allah states that, “And do not think of those killed in Allah’s path as dead, indeed they are alive they rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah”.
Geelani  added that is the reason that every true believer derives satisfaction  and  never regrets ,however  it is very unfortunate that Indian authorities have crossed all limits and are inflicting atrocities and killing innocents .

Syed Ali Geelani expressed his dismay over the silence maintained by sensible people in India, saying that they should ask their rulers to fulfil their pledge and ascertain the aspiration of people in Jammu and Kashmir.

Referring to slain police personnel, Geelani said that we equally feel for him and it is quite sad and added that prevailing bloodshed is the outcome of forced occupation.

Blaming Indian authorities for their deceit, Geelani said that they are desperate to evolve a civil war like situation in Kashmir, saying that people are well aware about the folly’s being played by them.

Syed Ali Geelani said that we are hopeful and believe that this era will come to an end soon.

Syed Ali Geelani while condemning the unabated detentions, curbs and bullying by authorities, said despite their tall claims and parroting about upholding the democratic norms, they don’t even allow us to participate in funerals of our slain youth.

Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the house detention of Hurriyat General Secretary Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Hurriyat spokesperson Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Mohammad Yasin Ataie, Omar Adil Dar and Syed Imtiaz Haider and added that since past seven years he has been in continuous house detention and police authorities don’t allow him to venture out or participate in funerals.

Appealing international organisation for human rights, Syed Ali Geelani impressed to take cognizance of this forced occupation and worsening situations in state.
