Budgam, March 26: General Observer for three assembly segments of Budgam, Beerwah and Khansahab, Rajesh Kumar Tyagi today reviewed preparedness for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections, 2019 in Srinagar Parliamentary constituency at New Conference Hall, Budgam.
DEO Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar briefed the observer about the election preparedness viz-a-viz Model Code of Conduct, Helpline and Control rooms/complaint redressal, manpower management, EVM/VVPAT, material management, expenditure monitoring and ballot papers/postal ballots, training and SVEEP, IT applications, Transport management, communication plan, assured minimum facilities, arrangements regarding persons with disabilities etc. DEO further added that district administration is fully prepared for ensuring the hassle free facilitation of persons with disability voters by provision of ramps and availability of wheel chairs in the designated polling booths.
SP Budgam, Amod Ashok Nagpuri through a presentation briefed the Observer about the security plan, law and order and forces deployment for ensuring the free, fair and violence free election in the district.
On the occasion, the Observer while appreciating the preparations enjoined upon the concerned officers to ensure free and fair elections and to ensure setting up of facilities for the PWDs and employee voters. The meeting was attended by ADDC Budgam, Khursheed Ahmad Sanie, IAS Probationer, Bilal Mohi-u-Din, AROs, Nodal Officers and other concerned.
