05 more Tippers seized for illegal extraction of minor minerals in Ganderbal

Ganderbal 02 June (KNZ):A team of Geology and Mining Department under the supervision of District Mineral Officer Ganderbal Er Mohammed Manzoor with Support of SHO Ganderbal Mr Khursheed Ahmad and SHO Kheerbawani Mr Tariq Ahmad seized five tippers which were involved in illegal extraction and transportation minor mineral from Ganderbal district
DMO seized 05 tippers under section 21(4) of the Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act. 1957.
DMO Ganderbal said that the Department will not allow such unlawful activities. He further warned that if any person found indulging in illegal mining the Department will take strict action against him under law.
Later 3 tippers lodged in police station Ganderbal and 2 tippers in police station Kheerbawani,he added.(KNZ)
