Ganderbal 13 Mar (KNZ): A team of Geology and Mining department led by District Mineral Officer Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi seized 8 vehicles involved in illegal mining during last two days in Ganderbal District.
The 8 vehicles including 2 tippers and 6 tractors involved in illegal transportation were seized at various locations of Ganderbal District
The District Mineral Officer further informed that the action has been initiated as per the MMDR Act of 1957 and SRO-105 of 2016.
He further said that all the illegal mining cases would be dealt with under the rules
The operation against the illegal mining and transporting is going on in different areas of the Ganderbal district.
