Poonch, Aug 06 (KNO): Security forces on Saturday evening recovered a hand grenade from a water channel in Kallar Kattal village of Surankote in Poonch district.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that locals spotted an old hand grenade lying in the water channel Kallar Kattal village, following which they informed the police.
They said that soon after being informed a team from Surankote reached to the spot and cordoned off the area.
“Later, a Bomb Disposal Squad of army along with army teams also reached to the spot,” they said.
The officials said that the grenade has been taken into possession and will be destroyed by BDS through a controlled mechanism—(KNO)
