Srinagar, November 27:(GNS) A gunfight broke out between militants and goverment forces in Chatergam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday early morning.

Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of army’s 50RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Chatergam.

While the forces intensified searches towards suspected house the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an gunfight.

A senior Police official confirmed to GNS that contact has been established with the hiding militants after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.

As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
