Srinagar, February 22: On Thursday morning a joint team of 31 RR of army, SOG Bandipora and CRPF cordoned off Tawhidabad area of Hajin of Bandipora district.
As searches where intensified the hiding militants fired upon the government forces resulting a brief encounter.
As per sources one army person was injured and is said to be stable. Reportedly militants managed to escape from the encounter site. When last report came there was no exchange of fire in the area. More details awaited.
