Srinagar, Nov 9 (GNS): Deputy Commissioner Shopian Dr Owais Ahmad has suspended Tehsildar Keegam for remaining absent from duties without any authorization.
The Tehsildar Showkat Ahmad Rather has been suspended for the second time in last three months. Earlier the Tehsildar was suspended on 01/07/2018 for remaining absent from duties.
“Time and again it has come to the notice of undersigned that Tehsildar Keegam is habitual of remaining absent from duty,” reads the order, adding, “Whereas, on the directions of undersigned, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner (Rev) Shopian made surprise inspection of the office of Tehsildar Keegam on 1/11/2018 and found the Tehsildar un-authorisedly absent from duty”.
Both the officers have recommended for initiating disciplinary action against the Tehsildar and subsequently the deputy commissioner placed him under suspension with immediate effect. “He will remain attached with the office of the Assistant Commissioner (Rev) Shopian. The Tehsildar Barbugh (Imamsahab) will look after the charge of Tehsil Keegam in addition to his own duties till further orders,” the order adds. (GNS)
