SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 21 : As a part of 29th Police Public Mela a Healthy Baby Competition among the wards of police personnel of the rank of SPO / Follower to Head Constable was held at Police Families Welfare Centre, Bemina Srinagar today. Ninety five babies and their parents participated in two categories (0 to 03 years) and (03 to 06 years) respectively.
The event was organized by Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) and was assisted by Commandant SDRF 1st Bn Srinagar. Refreshment/Lunch Packs were served to participating babies and their parents. The result of the competition will be announced on the mela day and cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st three position holders of each group at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar on the same day i.e 24th September, 2017 (Sunday). Dr. Abdul Rashid, Pediatrician, Dr. Ibrar Bashir, General Physician and a team of paramedic staff examined the babies.
On this occasion member of PWWA Mrs. Meena Gupta, IGP (Hqrs.) PHQ, Shri Surinder Gupta, AIG (Welfare) PHQ, Shri Abdul Waheed Shah, CO SDRF 1st Bn. Srinagar Shri Bashir Ahmed and Dy.SP (Welfare) PHQ, Ms. Albeena Malik were present.
