Srinagar December 10 : Today , The Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a consecutive operation busted a drug network by apprehending two hardcore drug dealers and seized heroin like substance weighing approx 800 gms. This successful operation is third in a row by ANTF in Kashmir within a week.
In a statement, ANTF J&K spokesman said that their unit received a specific information that a contraband drugs deal was going to be struck at Brimri Chowk, Dragmulla, Kupwara which will further be sold in different parts of the Kashmir Valley.
On recieving this information, a team of ANTF J&K went to the spot and apprehended two individuals namely Mohammad Shafi Lone S/O Mohammad Ramzan Lone and Bilal Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Qadir Dar, both residents of Sopore. The duo was travelling in a Chevorlet Beat car bearing registration number HP 22 E 5622. Heroin like substance worth Rs 4 crores was recovered from their possession.
An FIR has been registered in this regard under relevant Sections of law and ANTF J&K is investigating further links in the case.
ANTF J&K spokesman further requested the general masses for their support to the department in eradicating the menace of drug trafficking in the UT.
