GANDERBAL 27 Dec【KNZ】: Ganderbal police has solved a hit and run case by seizing the vehicle and arresting the accused driver within 24 hours,official said
According to reports a pedestrian namely Abdul Rashid wani son of Sanaullah Wani resident of mammer Kangan was hit by an unknown vehicle going toward Kangan.Driver flee the spot along with vehicle due to darkness.
Injured pedestrian was shifted to Trauma Hospital Kangan where he was referred to SKIMS soura for advance treatment
Subsequently a case FIR NO. 113/2017 under section 279,337 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up.
The investigating officer succeeded in identifying the accused driver within 24 hours. The accused driver identified as Farooq Ahmad Ahanger son of Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger resident of surfraw has been arrested. The vehicle Alto he was driving under registration no. UP16F 5199 also seized.
