Srinagar, Oct 24 : A militant of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was arrested in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
Official sources told GNS that a joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) of police and CRPF following a tip off raided in the area and apprehended the militant.
They identified the militant as Arizoo Bashir Najar, a resident of Mandoora Tral. Arizoo, according to sources had gone missing on 20 September this year and later his pictures surfaced on some sections of social media with holding an Ak-47 rifle.
They said Arizoo had been arrested in January this year and remained behind bars for almost five months before released on bail.
“Hizbul Mujahideen (militant) arrested,” DIG south Kashmir said in a tweet. (GNS)
