Ganderbal, 25 Aug【KNZ】:Kangan police during patrolling on late thursday evening on tangchater area of kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District seized timber and a vehicle transporting the green gold in tangchater village of Kangan in central kashmiris Ganderbal District.
However, according to police official, the green gold smugglers took advantage of the darkness and escaped from the spot and recovered 25 pieces of timber planks from the vehicle.
“Following the receipt of a specific input about the vehicle carrying illicit timber from tangchater village of Kangan the vehicle carrying illegal green gold was finally intercepted at village tangchater of kangan area of the Ganderbal district,” said official
He said that although the green gold smugglers escaped from the spot taking advantage of the darkness but left the vehicle behind, which was seized along the illicit timber.he added
When contacted SHO Kangan Nissar Ahmad said that the smugglers has not been identified yet due to darkness but vehicle was seized.we have seized the vehicle as well as the timber and registered a case under FIR no. 68/17 u/s 6FA 379 in this regard. The investigation of the case is going on.
