Kupwara, October 27 (KS): The top army officer said on Friday that 27 militants have been killed so far this year in Kupwara district of the Northern region.
Addressing the media in Kupwara, GOC 28 Infantry Division Major General Kalia, as per the News Agency Kashmir Scroll, emphasized the persistent attempts from across the line of control to disrupt peace and destabilize the security environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that over the past eight months, our vigilant troopers deployed along the line of control have foiled nearly ten infiltration bids originating from Pakistan, resulting in the neutralization of 27 militants.
Speaking about the recent operation that resulted in the elimination of five militants, Major General Kalia reaffirmed the security forces’ unwavering commitment to thwart any attempt at disrupting the security situation in the Kashmir valley.
