Ganderbal 03 Jan (KNZ):Continuing the raids on transporters involved in illegal mining, Geology Mining Department Ganderbal with the help of Ganderbal Police conducted raids during day and night from last 2 days in Various locations including Dal colony Nunner,Lar,Baba-Mohalla, Safapora and adjoining areas in Ganderbal to curb illegal extraction of minor minerals and seized 10 vehicles including 9 tippers and 1 tractor.
During the raids Geology Mining department seized 4 Vehicles yesterday and 6 Vehicles today involved illegal mining and handed over to Ganderbal Police
DMO Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi talking to Kashmir News Zone-KNZ said that we warned offenders to desist from the illegal extraction of minerals,adding that stern action under rules shall be taken against them.
He also said,no leniency shall be provided to those who are trying to loot the natural resources and cause irreparable damage to the ecology.KNZ
