Srinagar, November 29 : Senior resistance leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, have said that India is victimizing the Kashmiris for demanding their just and legitimate right to self-determination.
Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a Seerat Conference at Hyderpora in Srinagar, today, deplored that New Delhi was subjecting the illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in different jails of India and the occupied territory to the worst kind of inhuman treatment.
However, they said that the Indian brutalities could not subdue the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment and they would take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion at all costs. The conference was also addressed by Altaf Hussain Nadvi, Qazi Moeen-ul-Islam and Bashir Ahmed Farooqi.
Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mir Shahid Saleem, Zafar Akbar Butt, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Ghulam Nabi War, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Nahida Nasreen, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League and High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir in their statements strongly denounced the thrashing of illegally detained Kashmiris lodged at New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail. They urged the international human rights organizations to visit Tihar jail and take firsthand account of the ill-treatment being meted out to the Kashmiri prisoners
