Poonch, July 29: A 10-days old infant baby who was injured yesterday in cross-border shelling along Line of Control Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, succumbed to injuries.
A police officer confirmed to GNS that the infant baby dies in district hospital Poonch today late in the afternoon.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) District Hospital Poonch, Dr Mumtaz Bhatti said that the infant baby boy died due to serious wounds.
CMO said that her mother was referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
The infant baby was injured along with her mother Fatima Jaan (35) wife of Mohammad Qasim Gujjar (33) in the shelling on Sunday evening in Shahpur sector. (GNS)
