Srinagar, July 02 (KNS) : The students of Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday staged a protest against university administration for failing to provide adequate water supply.
Miffed over the alleged erratic supply of drinking water from the last four days, the students hit the streets and blocked the road, demanding adequate drinking water supply.
Students told the Kashmir News Service (KNS) over phone, that for the last four days, we have been left without water supply. Students are being forced to fetch drinking water from outside the hostel vicinity,”.
“We have been given assurances by the university administration, but nothing has been done in this regard till now,” the protesting students told.
They appealed to the university administration and officials of the concerned department to look into the matter and redress their genuine demand at the earliest.(KNS)
