PDC department turns blind eye towards unauthorised work

Ganderbal 22 Sep (KNZ):Jal Shakti Department Ganderbal laid pipeline without NOC in Haider-Maidan Gutlibagh.Locals aghast against the move of the department as they fear canal may be breached .
According to locals on holiday the deparment dug power canal road with JCB without out proper authorization .
Sources said deparment had to supply portable water to Gurez colony Nunner but the project was in limbo ,this project was inaugurated by an officials.In desperation they laid pipeline in haste and damaged banks of power canal.
They said the pipeline may weaken banks of the canal which may result in breach which is threatning to life and property of the local residents
Locals alleged that the officials of Jal shakti and Power Development Corporation (PDC) are hand and gloves in the unauthorised work.
Executive Engineer of Jalshakti Department and Power Development Corporation (PDC) refused to speak with the reporter about the issue.
Meanwhile Locals appealed DC Ganderbal to look into the issue.(KNZ)
