Srinagar: The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) will tentatively hold the regular class 10th and 12th annual examinations from second week of October, a board official said.
Although the official date-sheet was not issued yet, the official told Kashmir Reader that class 12th and 10th examinations were “tentatively” scheduled from 2nd and 3rd week of October respectively.
He said that October was the “traditional” examination season at the JKBOSE.
“Due to unrest in the last few years, the class 10th and 12th annual examinations were deferred to November, but situation was relatively normal this year around, so we have scheduled the examinations from October itself when these examinations are usually held,” added the official.
The dates for the recently announced elections to Urban Local Bodies and Panchayats by the State Administrative Council (SAC), as per the official, have been fixed taking into consideration the JKBOSE’s tentative schedule for the annual examinations for the two classes.
While the SAC has scheduled the ULB elections from October 1 and 5-prior to the board’s tentative date sheet, Panchayat elections have been relatively deferred and will be held from November 8 and December 4.
Secretary, JKBOSE, Riyaz Ahmad said that he was not aware of the tentative date sheet
