Srinagar, Apr 13 (KS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader and party’s Anantnag-Rajouri-Poonch seat candidate Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi has come on record to announce himself ‘doing well’, saying the rumours/reports of his possible withdrawal from Lok Sabha elections were untrue.

In a video message, Larvi, as per news agency Kashmir Scroll, said that he had been unwell before Eid following which he was advised to take rest for a few weeks by the doctors to prevent any escalation in the ailment.

“It was before the Eid eve that I had caught fever and after undergoing tests’, the doctors said I had jaundice and was advised by them to take rest, which I somehow couldn’t take. The doctors cautioned that if I didn’t take rest for two to three weeks, the ailment might,” said Larvi.

“After taking medicine I felt better, however it turned out that I had viral fever and not jaundice.”

“I in the meantime was being visited by people to whom I conveyed that if my condition remained as such I can’t continue my campaigning or even contest election, however after undergoing treatment for the fever, I am doing well now,” he said.

“The rumours/reports which either were spread (intentionally) or spread unwittingly are untrue,” Larvi said further. (KS)
