Ganderbal 14 Oct 【KNZ】:-Scores of JKPDC Daily Wagers of Power House Kangan In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District on Saturday staged protest demonstration in favour of their long pending demands here.
Protestors said our main demand is to permanent the daily wagers who are engaged from more than 15 years, but has not yet get permanent in the department.
While talking with our correspondent they further said that the government should meet our demands at an earliest so that our families will not face any trouble further. They warned the govt that if their demands will not be fulfilled, then they have no option other than to go for a continue strike and will stop the services of 105 MV power house kangan.
It is pertinent to mention here that a number of daily wagers participated in the demonstration and raised anti-government slogans, which they has alleged have miserably failed to regularise their services since the past long time.
Our correspondent said that neither any officer from Power department nor any officer from adminstration reached there to listen them.The AEE, 2JEs are looking after the power house in shift manner but no one was present there. It was seen that they are not performing their duties sincerely as their is an oil leakage in a big transformer and oil was seen floating in the water, It will also harm the water bodies and a burden on the govt treasury.
They added we are appealing the concerned authorities that take immediate action into the matter and initiate an enquiry against the deliquent officers for not taking speedy measures for leakage of oil.
