GANDERBAL, JUNE 10: A Job cum Employment Fair was organized today by District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC), Ganderbal in collaboration with District Administration Ganderbal and Degree College Ganderbal here within the premises of Govt. Degree College Ganderbal.
The fair was formally inaugurated by the Director Employment & Counselling Centre J&K, Nissar Ahmad Wani along with Principal Government Degree College, Prof. Fouzia Fatima and Assistant Director DE&CC, Dr Sheeba.
The purpose of fair was to explore the Career opportunities within the district having various companies on board at one platform. In the fair over 16 reputed National/ Domestic companies participated.
There was an over whelming response from the job seekers who expressed satisfaction after having interaction with various companies and wished same kind of job fairs in the district in near future.
As many as 750 candidates participates in the fair in which over 265 candidates were shortlisted besides, 28 candidates got onspot selection. Furthermore, 150 candidates were registered for skill training by RSETI, Ganderbal and BSE.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director E&CC J&K said that purpose of organizing the fair was to provide platform both to the job providers and job seekers so that they could interact with the each other and line departments who are providing various self-employment schemes had also installed their stalls to provide information about such schemes to the unemployed youth.
Later, Director E&CC handed over appointment letters to the candidates who got selected onspot.
