Says two cases stands registered against him
Srinagar, Oct 16: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Range, Muneer Ahmad Khan Monday said the photojournalist Kamran Yousuf was arrested by Police over his involvement in the stone pelting incidents.
Khan told reporters during a presser that two cases stands registered against Yousuf over his involvement in the stone pelting.
“Yousuf wasn’t arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) but he was arrested by the Police over his involvement in stone pelting especially in the year 2016,” he said, adding that later the Police handed over him to NIA when they were investigating the terror funding case.
The IGP further refused to talk over the issue, saying that “I am no any NIA officer to talk over the issue.” (KNS)
