KISHTWAR : Kishtwar Police has been successful in busting and apprehending a gang of burglars, which was involved in a series of burglaries within district. These burglars targeted mostly religious places of Kishtwar district where they pretend to be devotees but carry out their evil designs by stolening the money from the donation boxes of religious places.
Since, bucketful complaint with regard to theft incidents were received by Kishtwar Police in recent times, as such by taking cognizance of the issue a case FIR No. 209/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Kishtwar and investigation taken-up
Meanwhile SSP Kishtwar Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS directed the IC CCTV Kishtwar & IC Cyber Cell DPO for tracking down all such activities through CCTV. Accordingly, some suspicious persons were found roaming in Kishtwar town and the team so constituted, by putting hectic and strenuous efforts by utilizing both technical and Scientific aids, zeroed some suspects and resultantly succeeded in identifying the accused involved in series of burglary incident and subsequently their arrest was effected in one go, so that chances of escape and destruction of evidences is avoided.
After thorough questioning of the accused, the team finally succeeded in making break-through and were able to nab a group of organized notorious burglars.
The arrested persons are identified as: 1) Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din S/o Fojadar Sheikh R/o Bacchidarwaza Srinagar
2) Skinder Ahmed S/o Fojadar Sheikh R/o Parimpura Srinagar
3)Rubeena Begum W/o Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din R/o Bacchidarwaza Srinagar
4)Gudi W/o Skinder Ahmed R/o Parimpura Srinagar
5) Saleema Begum W/o Nazir Ahmed Sheikh R/o Parimpura Srinagar
As far as recovery is concerned stolen property worth lakhs including cash amounting to Rs. 53805/-has been recovered from the arrested persons. A vehicle bearing registration No JK01AJ- 8941 used in the commission of crimes has also been seized in the instant case. The investigation of the case is going on and more arrests and recoveries are expected.
SSP Kishtwar Mr. Batt-JKPS express that the whole town is under CCTV coverage and the activities whatsoever going on are being minutely monitored 24×7 by specialise team constituted at CCTV surveillance unit of kishtwar Police. This gang of thieves was also arrested with the help of CCTV footage in an around kishtwar town
