SHOPIAN:Father of one of the militant who is trapped in Kundlan Shopian encounter died due to heart attack on Tuesday.
An Official said that the father of the trapped militant identified as Issaq Naikoo died due to a heart attack when he came to know that his son Zeenat Ahmed Naikoo is trapped in an encounter.
He was declared as brought in Shopian hospital.
Earlier, the joint team of army’s 34 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Kundalan which resulted into the encounter.
Soon after the encounter, the people of the area mostly youth took to streets and pelted stones on the forces. The forces used tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse them.
When reports last came in the clashes amid the firefight was going on.
