Kupwara, July 26, KNT: A police Sub Inspector died of Covid-19 infection this morning at Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar.
The police officer was posted at Police Station Thregam and was on one month leave, SSP Kupwara Shri Ram Ambedkar told News Agency KNT.
He said the deceased police officer was a resident of Kandi Khas Kupwara and was suffering from hypertension, besides he was a diabetic patient.
A medico while confirming the death of police officer said he was tested positive for Covid-19 infection some 10 days back. He said the cause of death was comorbidity. (KNT)
