Ganderbal 25 Oct(KNZ) :Poor facilities in Khelo India competition was Wednesday once agian exposed when a players was badly injured and his leg was fractured.Players said vehicle or ambulance of organisers was not present at time and the injured was taken to hospital in a private vehicle .
The players present at the ground were aghast aginst lack lasture approach of organisers .
A football player said a Player Basit was injured in a match and to our suprise ambulance was not available here .We lack basic ficilties here.First aid is not fully available here.We are told to go hospital for Medical care.
We have to walk to nearby tap to drink water he added.
We will boycott the tournament if facilties are not improved.
We are not provided adequate facilities.I appeal Organisers to wake up and provide us adequate facilties
Muzamil Mohammad a football coach said health and well-being of players is very important.Football will not improve if basic facilities are not provided espically medical aid.It is better to not participate in the tournament.
District football association Ganderbal President Bashir dar also came heavy on the organisers .He said I have got complaints that Poor facilities are provided in Khelo India football competitions in Ganderbal.The organisers need to improve facilities so that football will develop.I will personally raise the issue with organisers.
Part of ‘Khelo India’ initiative District youth services and sports is organising various sports competition in the district.(KNZ)
