Tral: Syedabad-Pastuna, a village in Aripal tehsil of Tral sub district, continued to witness its main road inundated by stagnant water like every year.
Locals said that soon after the rainfall was received by the area, the situation on the road was no different than previous years as the road was submerged by stagnant rainwater.
Residents alleged that the condition arose as authorities failed to construct the water drainage system parallel to the road.
They said that the condition of the main road there is pathetic too, as despite back to back pleas, the road is yet to be blacktopped by the authorities.
The residents demanded the construction of drainage system and blacktopping of the main road in the village as soon as possible.
Additional deputy commissioner Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina, has however said that he has given directions to the concerned AEE for early action.
