Srinagar : Relatives of umar fayaz from Lawaypora Srinagar who is battling for his life in srinagar based hospital on Saturday protested at Press colony Srinagar and demanded justice in his favour
While talking to media they said as claimed by police our son is not a militant but a common person who was running shop in the area where the shootout took place
Pertinently on 05 Feb in a brief shootout two militants and one CRPF man lost their lives while as umar fayaz from Lawaypora received bullet injuries in the shootout who according to police was accompanying however his family rejected police statement.
On Saturday, they were demanding the attention of higher authorities and justice in favour of umar.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Friday in a press briefing SSP Srinagar Dr Haseeb Mughal said that he will meet umar and his family personally and investigate the matter accordingly
