Ganderbal 16 Feb (KNZ):More than 40 participants from various areas of Ganderbal District took part in a 3-day Rock Climbing Championship for the local youth that concluded at Naranag area of Wanghat Kangan organized by Indian Army Wanghat COB Ex Wussan Army camp The event aimed at developing the mountaineering skills and enhancing the talent of local youth on various challenging activities.
It involved the activities of Cliff climbing, Aided climb through use of ascender and rappelling down the cliff.
The individual and teams with the best timings were awarded with prizes and tracksuits. The event was witnessed by parents of the participants, civil adm reps and locals who appreciated the emphasis on physical fitness.(KNZ)
