Bandipora:On the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day, Locals in large numbers celebrated the event with full fervour & enthusiasm along with Indian Army personal at Manasbal Garrison.
This morning, locals from Bandipora & Ganderbal districts mustered at Jharoka Bagh with Nationals flags & tri colour caps for a March for Unity & Solidarity aptly taking those important footsteps from Jharoka Bagh to Manasbal in which hundreds of locals of all age groups from different walks of life & from nearby villages participated while other locals were witnessing the march with a feeling extreme delight
The locals were welcomed in the garrison & the celebration commenced with the unfurling of the Tri colour by Cdr, 3 Sect RR along with singing of the National Anthem by all, followed by extention of assistance to needy persons which included crutches. It was an overwhelming sight to watch the locals taking the initiative to celebrate the 72nd Republic Day this year.
A cultural program was also organised by the locals to incl Rap songs, dance, singing of Patriotic songs by local children who mesmerized the audience with their talent filled of Patriotism & Nationalism
Outstanding persons from the 3 Sect RR AOR incl persons selected for Nationals in various sporting events & COVID warriors were also felicitated.
In the end, sweets were distributed to all & an interactive session was organised over a tea gathering.
