According to locals we have already applied for permission in this regard but this decaying walnut tree poses threat to life and property.
Locals said last year Due to heavy rains and strong winds, a walnut tree came crashing down on the tipper.Luckily, none of the passenger suffered any injuries
Locals said old and decaying walnut tree located close to residential houses are posing a serious threat to life, livestock and other property of the people.
“There is a blanket ban on cutting of these trees. It requires a hectic procedure for chopping of old and decaying walnut tree which are located close to residential houses
According to reports, walnut tree belongs to Pandit family but they already submitted affidavit to cutdown the Wallnut tree.
Locals requested higher authorities and DC Ganderbal to intervene.KNZ
