Ganderbal 3 December:Final match of Manasbal Premier League Cricket Tournament was played at Sainik School Manasbal ground between Sumbal Eleven and Kurhama Eleven.Sumbal Eleven beat Kurhama Eleven in Super over.
MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar was the Chief Guest on the occasion.He interacted with the teams playing in the Final match and lauded the efforts of Chairman organising committee.
While addressing players,Ishfaq said losing or winning of a game is immaterial but participating as Worthy sports persons, performing to once best capacity and maintaining quality of conduct while playing is counted a lot at the end of the day.Ishfaq said our boys need proper opportunities,coaching and exposure to prove their mettle.
He said that for this purpose creation of sports temperament and encouragement to players is essential.
Ishfaq said the tournament like Manasbal Premier League would provide opportunities to the players to excel and be seen in National and International tournaments.During Presentation Ceremony he gave away the Winners and Runners up trophies.Ishfaq also released Rs.3 lacs from his constituency development fund for the upgradation of Baroosa Playground.
