Ganderbal, Jan 22: Senior politician and Patron Awami Insaaf Party (AIP) , Sheikh G A Saloora while addressing a huge public gathering at Gogjigund today, thanked Chief Minister and the higher authorities of PHE department for enabling drinking water facilities for thousands of families living in Sherpathri vicinity.
Saloora said setting up a well oriented Water Supply Scheme for the downtrodden population of more than 15000 souls of Gogjigund, Dar Mohalla, Malik Mohalla, Warpora, Sheikh Mohalla,
Malik pora and adjoining areas is a sign of great achievement and the department deserves big appreciation.
This scheme has been set up at the cost of Rs 4.5 crores and an additional amount of around 3.0 lakh will be spent on the layout of 500 metre new pipeline to facilitate poor people with hygienic drinking water, Saloora added.
Saloora said that he is happy to see his charter of demands submitted to CM for the redressal of public problems and grievances is getting fulfilled gradually for which he is thankful to the current government lead by the dynamic Ms Mehbooba Mufti.
Saloora also thanked Chief Engineer and other concerned officers of PHE for the timely completion of the said assignment.
People of the area lauded the efforts of Sheikh Saloora and shouted slogans in his and his party’s favour.
