GANDERBAL, JUNE 08: Intensifying the drive to check food adulteration, hoarding of commodities especially of chicken, mutton and other violations in the district Ganderbal, a team headed by Assistant Director Food, Naseer Ahmad Baba along with Officials of departments conducted market checking in Ganderbal town and realized a fine from the erring shopkeepers.
The team constituted on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal inspected various food establishments including bakery shops, fruit and vegetable shops, Chicken shops and mutton shops.
The AD Food impressed upon all the shopkeepers to ensure that social distancing is maintained, masks are used by one and all besides to ensure sanitizer are being used by the customers and their staff.
The erring shopkeepers especially for not displaying rate list, un-hygienic condition, rotten fruits and vegetables were fined on spot.
Further, the shopkeepers were advised to display the rate list on the conspicuous place of their shops and restrain from overcharging and in case of failure, action as warranted under relevant law shall be taken against the erring shopkeepers.
