Ganderbal:A joint team of Food Safety, Legal Metrology, Police, Drug Control Department under the Supervision of Naib Tehsildar Kangan & Plang Conducted extensive market checking of main market Kangan & Wussan and recovered Rs. 4400/ as fine from erring traders who were found violating of Food Safety & Standards Act-2006 and commodities act.
During inspection samples of food items were lifted for laboratory analysis & recommended one fbo for compounding u/s 69.
Also a few snacks/chips were destroyed which were found expired.
The drive shall continue in the whole district and FBOs that are found violating FSS, ACT-2006 shall be dealt with strictly under the said Act.
