Expresses grief over demise of mother of Abdul Satar Kulgam

Srinagar, Nov 06 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin today recalled the sacrifices rendered by Muslims of Jammu in 1947.
“Massacre of Lakhs of Muslims at Jammu on 6th November 1947 is an ugly blot on the face of humanity and the blackest day of our human history. The colonial and fascist mindset that carried out Jammu genocide in 1947 is even today busy in massacring Kashmiri youth without any remorse or regret,” Malik said in a statement issued to KNS.
Malik said that “6th of November 1947 represents the blackest day of human history when lakh’s of Jammu Muslims, driven out of their homes, were butchered by communal fascist forces patronized by the then dictator Mahraja and his queen.”
“Jammu massacre in 1947 not only reminds us of the brutal and criminal face of fascism but also the criminal silence of the international community exposing its duplicity and double standards visa vise humans and humanity,” Malik said.
JKLF chief said that the people who were massacred at Jammu in 1947 stood for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir and against ‘illegal military occupation’ of India and by killing them brutally, fascist forces changed the demography of Jammu region completely.
“When all this was happening in Jammu, Kashmiri Muslims stood for the communal harmony as taught by Islam, and despite provocations safeguarded their non-Muslim brethren residing then in Kashmir,” he said, adding that “the sacrifices of Jammu Muslims for freedom of Jammu Kashmir is a glorious page of our resistance against colonial oppression and no one can ever ignore or put behind these valiant sacrifices.”
He said that Jammu Massacre is also an ugly blot on the face of the international community which has till date failed to bring culprits and killers to justice.
JKLF chairman said that the chain of sacrifices that started from Jammu is continuing till today as Kashmiri youth on daily basis are sacrificing their lives for the righteous cause. “If one only looks back to the previous week, he could find about a dozen young Kashmiris rendering the sacrifices of their lives at Budgam, Pampore, Shopian, Kulgam and other places for the same mission,” he said.
He said that “people of Jammu Kashmir cannot and will never overlook these endless sacrifices and today when we recall the sacrifices of our Jammu Brethren, we pray to Allah almighty to fulfill the dreams of our martyrs and bestow us with liberty and freedom.”
