Sonamarg: On the direct instructions of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and after taking the first day charge of the Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA), a large-scale demolition drive was conducted in Sonamarg today. The operation, aimed at curbing illegal constructions in the region, was carried out by SDA employees with the full support and cooperation of the Sonamarg Police.
The day-long drive was initiated following multiple complaints received by the SDA regarding unauthorized constructions in Sonamarg. In response, the CEO of the Sonamarg Development Authority directed immediate action to address these violations.
As a result, several illegal structures were demolished, reaffirming the authority’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of Sonamarg’s natural beauty and legal construction standards. The demolition drive underscores the SDA’s zero-tolerance policy towards unauthorized constructions in the area.
